Ash is easy to turn, but is a fairly plain blond wood unless you are lucky enough to find spalting, burl, or some nice figuring at a branch junction. This bowl has a little discoloration from early spalting, and is a pleasing open shape. The traditional bolied linseed oil and beeswax finish is food safe.
