This is the first natural edge I tried. Luckily when I was pouring resin into some holes in the slab table I had some left over and I poured it into a large hole in the log this piece started from. Without that it probably would have ended horribly about half way through. The bark in the log doesn't quite look like ash, so it's possible that I have misidentifed a piece of apple from pruning the tree in the garden, or something else alogether that turned up in the firewood pile.
