The small one is recovered teak, the medium one beech, and is supposed to look a little like a rose bud and is sized for the same small beeswax candles as the small teak candlestick. The large one is oak, and a lady was hesitating about buying it, and said she really wanted two. No problem I said, luckily I have another piece of oak at home. The second one is always harder, but all that practice making pawns for the chess set came in handy.
