In Klöver (not ink lover!) was a small local art gallery with outlets in Hillsborough and Moira in County Down. It gave me an opportunity to see whether anyone else thought my bowls were OK as obviously Claire was only going to pick out stuff she thought would sell. Selling through a gallery means sharing quite a large percentage with the gallery who obviously need to cover rent, rates and staffing costs, but left me free to just get on with turning and not be spending money on petrol and entry fees for craft fairs with the obious risk of selling nothing that day. It's also given me an idea of what the bowls are worth, and what features might be worth a little extra like spalting or a natural edge that add uniqueness. Sadly between the Covid lock down and the following sluggish economy the gallery has had to close down. I guess their web site will close at some point, but for now here's the link:
