Monterey Cyprus Bowl 4.9" diameter (125 x 70 mm 155 g)

The council cut down a mature Monterey cypress in Craigantlet around 1990. They are usually felled a few feet from the ground, and later a crew comes out to deal with the stump. A friend saw the crew and asked them where they were taking it, "To the dump" they said. "Well, can you dump it in my garage?" he asked. It saved them a trip! The pot in the title photo is a hollow form which is around 2 to 3 mm thick and 200 mm in diameter. This is the last bowl from the wood I have from the tree. The others are shown in Monterey Cypress.
